Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 | Đề thi thật tháng 8/2025 | Protecting Wild Animals

Mục lục

You need to write an essay addressing the topic below:

Many believe that it is important to protect all wild animals, while others think that it is important to protect some, not all of them.
Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Your essay should comprise a minimum of 250 words.

1. Phân tích dạng đề

Đây là dạng:
Discuss both views and give your own opinion

Dạng bài này yêu cầu:

  • Phân tích cả hai quan điểm
  • Triển khai lập luận logic cho từng phía
  • Đưa ra opinion cá nhân rõ ràng

Với topic này, keyword chính nằm ở:

  • Protect all wild animals
  • Protect only some species
  • Ecosystem
  • Conservation
  • Government resources

Đây là nhóm đề quen thuộc thuộc chủ đề:

  • Environment
  • Wildlife conservation
  • Biodiversity
  • Public funding

species disappear → food chain disrupted → population imbalance → environmental damage

On the one hand, some people may claim that every species should be given equal protection since each of them plays different roles in the ecosystem.

Đây là:

  • Topic sentence
  • Nêu rõ viewpoint + lý do chính

Câu giải thích

If one were to disappear, the food chain involving this animal might be disrupted…

→ Giải thích nguyên nhân trực tiếp

Câu hệ quả

…leading to unforecast fluctuations in the population of other species.

→ Nêu hậu quả tiếp theo

Kiểu triển khai:

  • nếu A xảy ra
  • thì B bị ảnh hưởng
  • từ đó kéo theo C

Đây là kiểu logic mà giám khảo IELTS thường đánh giá khá cao ở tiêu chí:

  • Coherence & Cohesion
  • Task Response

Ví dụ

An instance of this can be seen in Australia, where the extinction of dingos…

Điểm hay:

  • ví dụ cụ thể
  • có quốc gia thật
  • có chain reaction rõ ràng

Mini conclusion

Thus, it is clear that the loss of one species can have far-reaching consequences on biodiversity.

  • Reinforce main argument
  • Tăng độ academic

5.1 Bài mẫu Writing Task 2

While some people say that governments should protect all wild animals, others argue that protecting certain species is more important. Although both views are valid, I believe that it is crucial to prioritize endangered or key species over others.

On the one hand, some people may claim that every species should be given equal protection since each of them plays different roles in the ecosystem. If one were to disappear, the food chain involving this animal might be disrupted, leading to unforecast fluctuations in the population of other species. An instance of this can be seen in Australia, where the extinction of dingos in the late 1900s has contributed to a sharp surge in the number of their prey animals, particularly wild rabbits. These rabbits feed not only on weeds but also on other plants, causing serious damage to the region’s vegetation that took years to reverse. Thus, it is clear that the loss of one species can have far-reaching consequences on biodiversity.

On the other hand, opponents of this view can ground their argument on the lack of resources. Given that animal preservation and restoration are often extremely costly, current government funds may not be sufficient for all species. For example, the restoration of pandas in China alone has cost several billion dollars, whereas within the year 2025, wolf reintroduction programs in Colorado have required as much as 3 million. Therefore, it would be more reasonable to divert public funding to key species whose disappearance may cause disruption to the ecosystem, or those who are at high risk of extinction, rather than dividing it equally for all kinds of animals.

In conclusion, I concur that allocating more resources to the conservation of endangered and keystone species than less-threatened ones would be a more holistic approach. That said, people should not completely neglect the latter, as they are also integral components of the ecosystem.

While some people say that governments should protect all wild animals, others argue that protecting certain species is more important. Although both views are valid, I believe that it is crucial to prioritize endangered or key species over others.

Thus, it is clear that the loss of one species can have far-reaching consequences on biodiversity.Một mặt, một số người cho rằng mọi loài đều nên được bảo vệ ngang nhau vì mỗi loài đều giữ những vai trò khác nhau trong hệ sinh thái.
Therefore, it would be more reasonable to divert public funding to keystone species whose disappearance may cause disruption to the ecosystem, or those who are at high risk of extinction, rather than dividing it equally for all kinds of animals.Mặt khác, những người phản đối quan điểm này có thể dựa vào vấn đề thiếu hụt nguồn lực.
In conclusion, I concur that allocating more resources to the conservation of endangered and keystone species than less-threatened ones would be a more holistic approach. That said, people should not completely neglect the latter, as they are also integral components of the ecosystem.Tóm lại, tôi đồng ý rằng việc phân bổ nhiều nguồn lực hơn cho các loài nguy cấp và loài chủ chốt sẽ là một cách tiếp cận toàn diện hơn so với việc đầu tư ngang nhau cho các loài ít bị đe dọa.
